You are a veteran proud of your service to your country. You want to protect and preserve a proud military heritage you helped to create.
You want to stay connected to your fellow comrades and share in the bond that exists between all veterans.
If these are your thoughts, then we have a place for you at the Greendale American Legion Post 416.
Here we build lasting relationships based on faith and trust. Faith in the ideals and principles set forth in the Constitution of the United States of America. Trust, that by our association, together we can keep our community safe and our state and nation strong.
Greendale American Legion Post 416 is involved in meeting the needs of both the community and individual Legionnaires and family members as well as other veterans, their widows and widowers, and their orphans.
The American Legion was founded on the premise that all those serving in the US Armed Forces during times of national crisis, regardless of place of service, are eligible to belong to The American Legion.
Our membership is based on period of service, not place of service. Therefore, if you have served at least one day of "active duty" during the eligibility dates, and are presently serving in the military or have been honorably discharged, you may become a member.
Our membership eligibility dates parallel dates set by Congress on war-time service. Press this button to review those dates.
